Two miles from Centennial Airport on South Clinton Street, this La Quinta is the value pick among the branded hotels close to the field. It is a mid-scale limited-service property doing exactly what that description implies: clean rooms, free breakfast, a pool that works half the year, and a rate that usually lands well under the full-service hotel sitting one building north.

Six Minutes To The FBO Row
Clinton Street feeds straight onto Arapahoe Road, and Arapahoe runs east to Peoria and the airport entrances. Call it six minutes off-peak. The one thing to plan around is the I-25 and Arapahoe interchange, which is genuinely slow between 4 pm and 6 pm on weekdays — if your show time is in that window, leave fifteen minutes rather than eight.
The location also puts you inside the Denver Tech Center proper. There is real food within a five-minute drive instead of the office-park dead zone you get closer to the field, and the Arapahoe light rail station is a short hop if a passenger wants to get downtown without a car.
The pool is outdoor and seasonal, so from roughly October through April it is a closed gate and a stack of chairs. Nobody at booking will tell you this. If a swim after a long duty day matters to you, the Holiday Inn Express down in Meridian keeps a heated indoor pool open year round and sits about the same distance from the field.
Where It Falls Short
This is an older building. Reviews cluster around 4.1 for a reason: the housekeeping and front desk are consistently praised, the finishes are consistently described as dated, and the two observations are both true at once. You will get a clean room. You will not get a new one.
The second limitation is the kitchenette gap. If you are here for a two-week engine job or a month of contract flying, the lack of a cooktop pushes every meal onto a restaurant or a microwave, and the nightly saving over Hyatt House or Extended Stay America gets eaten back in food costs within about ten days. Run that number before you commit to a long block here.
Who It Suits
A crew overnighting between legs. A flight student in for a two or three day checkride block. A charter passenger who wants a bed near the airplane and does not care about the lobby. For any of those, the rate-to-distance ratio here is among the best in the corridor and there is nothing to complain about.
For a multi-week stay, look elsewhere first.
What Is Nearby
This is one of the few hotels close to Centennial Airport that is not marooned in an office park. The Tech Center restaurants along Yosemite and Belleview are five minutes out, the Arapahoe light rail station is close enough to hand a passenger a simple set of directions to downtown Denver, and there is a grocery store within a short drive if you are stocking a room for a few days.
That matters more than it sounds. Several of the properties in this batch require a car for every single meal. This one gives you options within a radius short enough that a crew without a rental can manage on ride shares without the fares becoming a line item.
Booking Note
Join Wyndham Rewards before you book even if you never use it again — the members-only wifi tier is the difference between filing a flight plan comfortably and fighting the connection from the lobby. Book direct as well. Third-party rates on this property are rarely lower than the brand site, and a direct booking is what gives the front desk room to move you if you land at midnight and the assigned room is next to the elevator.
