Hyatt House sits on East Costilla Avenue in the block of Englewood office parks just west of Centennial Airport, 2.2 miles from the field and about seven minutes to the FBO row on Peoria. Every room in the building is a suite, and every suite has a working kitchen. That one fact settles most of the question of who should book here.

The property runs 135 suites across one-bedroom kings, one-bedroom doubles, and two-bedroom trio layouts that sleep four adults without anyone taking the sofa. Pillow-top beds, separate living space, a desk you can actually spread charts across.

The Kitchen Changes The Math On Long Assignments

A full-size refrigerator, a cooktop, a dishwasher, and cookware in the cabinets is not a small thing when you are three weeks into an avionics install and the per diem is finite. You can buy groceries once, cook four nights a week, and stop treating every meal as a decision. Crews rotating through on multi-week maintenance jobs get more out of this building than anyone else on this list.

What comes with the rate:

  • Free hot breakfast every morning, which covers the early show times
  • Free wifi throughout the building and free self-parking
  • Guest laundry open around the clock, no appointment, no attendant
  • Fitness center, outdoor pool and hot tub, courtyard grills
  • Pet-friendly rooms, worth knowing if the owner travels with a dog

Driving To The Field

Arapahoe Road east to Peoria Street, then south. Seven minutes without traffic, twelve at five in the afternoon when the I-25 and Arapahoe interchange backs up. The hotel runs a free local shuttle inside a five-mile radius, which puts the airport comfortably in range — but it is a shared shuttle on a first-come basis, not a car booked to your name. If your departure is hard-timed, drive or call a car.

How It Stacks Up Against The Other Kitchen Options

The gap in nightly rate between Hyatt House and the two budget extended-stays is real, and on a six-week job it adds up to serious money. The gap in what you get is also real. Decide which one your trip actually cares about before you book.

Hangar Talk

Ask for a suite on the north side of the building, away from the Costilla Avenue frontage. The rooms facing the street pick up morning traffic noise from the office-park commute starting around 7 am, which matters if you flew a late leg and are trying to sleep past sunrise. The outdoor pool closes for the season roughly October through May — if a pool is part of why you are booking, the indoor options a few miles south are the better call in winter.

Fit By Trip Type

One-night crew stop

It works, and the breakfast is better than most, but you are paying for a kitchen you will not open. Fine if the rate is close to the limited-service hotels that night. Not worth a premium.

Owner or charter passenger

Comfortable, quiet, and genuinely spacious. The two-bedroom trio suite is a reasonable answer for a family arriving on a light jet who do not want connecting rooms.

Multi-week maintenance or contract work

This is the target. Ask the front desk about an extended-stay rate before you book online — the posted nightly rate is not what a four-week block should cost, and the property will negotiate on longer holds.

What Is Around It

Costilla Avenue is office park, which means the immediate walk is parking lots. That said, the Tech Center restaurant cluster along Yosemite and Belleview is inside five minutes by car, and a grocery run for the week is about the same. If you are cooking, that proximity is the point — nobody wants a twenty-minute drive standing between them and a carton of eggs after a twelve-hour day at the hangar.

The Short Version

If you are here for more than three nights, this is the first place to check. Under three nights, check the rate against the limited-service hotels a block away and let the number decide.

Was not expecting $15 A DAY parking charge! Did not see this on Hotels.com website until I was instructed to policies, then fees, then parking. It felt hidden and I was not told anything about it at checkin. 😡 Room was very nice with nice kitchen. 😊Pretty clean room but floors not cleaned at all during stay. Beds are ok, not terrible but not great. Breakfast is also pretty good for hotel brkfst. Nice pool area...

My husband and I spent 3 1/2 weeks here while I was recovering from surgery and unfortunately experienced numerous issues. First, I want to start with the good parts of our stay. I chose this location based on the proximity to the Steadman Hawkins Clinic which was only about a 5 minute drive away. It made it very convenient to get to my surgery and PT appointments. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub on days when it ...

Pros: Shawna who checked us in upgraded us from a one bedroom to a two bedroom and put us on the top floor. Friendly staff at front desk and kitchen. Location isn’t bad near the highway and near convenient shopping and parks. Cons: Almost everything else. There was consistently the smell of pot in the hallways, the elevator is almost always out of order, poor maintenance and many things breaking. In addition, ther...
