On East Easter Avenue, 1.9 miles from Centennial Airport and about six minutes to the FBO row, this is the middle rung of the budget extended-stay ladder near KAPA — a step above WoodSpring on kitchen and room quality, well below Hyatt House on everything else, and priced accordingly.

Select Suites Means Something Specific

Extended Stay America runs three tiers, and the brand name on the sign tells you which one you are booking. Premier Suites and Suites include a grab-and-go breakfast. Select Suites does not. Housekeeping on Select Suites runs on a long cycle for stays of eight nights or more, and a linen exchange in between costs a small daily fee. None of this is hidden, but plenty of guests book on the Extended Stay America name alone and arrive expecting the breakfast tier.

Know which product you bought and the property is fine. Assume you bought the full-service version and you will be irritated on day one.

The useful takeaway is that the two budget properties are far closer to each other than either is to Hyatt House. Choose between them on price and availability, not on features.

What Is In The Building

  • Full kitchen in every suite: full-size refrigerator, stovetop, microwave
  • Free wifi and free on-site parking
  • Fitness room, guest laundry with card-operated machines
  • Lobby snack station, dining area, outdoor picnic area
  • Pet-friendly suites, with a fee

Getting To The Ramp

Easter Avenue over to Arapahoe Road, east to Peoria, south into the field. Six minutes on a normal day. As with everything on the west side of the airport, the afternoon backup at the I-25 interchange is the only variable worth planning around, and you can duck most of it by staying east of Yosemite.

There is no shuttle here, so a rental car or a standing ride share arrangement is part of the plan. Over a month that cost is not trivial, and it is worth pricing a long-term rental against daily ride shares before you land. If the job has you at the hangar six days a week, the rental almost always wins.

Hangar Talk

Ask for a dish and cookware kit at the front desk when you check in rather than assuming it is in the cabinet. Extended Stay America keeps kitchenware behind the desk at most properties and hands it out on request, which surprises first-time guests who open the cupboards and find them empty. While you are there, ask about the weekly rate — the nightly rate on stays past seven days is almost never the best number available.

Who Should Book It

A maintenance tech on a two to six week job who wants a real stovetop and does not care about breakfast. A flight student in for an accelerated rating who is watching every dollar over a month of training. A contract pilot on a temporary assignment at one of the KAPA operators.

At 4.2 with over seven hundred reviews, this is a better-rated property than its price suggests. A score that holds up across that many stays usually points to consistent management rather than nice finishes, and consistency is what actually matters when you are living somewhere for a month rather than passing through for a night. The building is plain. It is also predictable, which is the trait that wears well.

Not The Right Call For

Single overnights, passenger stays, or anyone who wants the day to start with coffee and eggs already made. For those, the La Quinta or the Holiday Inn Express at a similar distance will serve you better for roughly the same money on a one-night booking. And if the trip is on a corporate account that would cover the difference without a second look, spend it at Hyatt House and get the breakfast, the housekeeping, and the dishwasher.

I booked one night, and I ended staying an extra night because I really liked how spacious the room was, and the location. When I booked the second night I actually made a mistake and booked a different room. It would have cost me more, but there is a gentleman named Kazmi who works there who helped me keep my same room and price so everything was fast and easy. It would have been a hassle to call and rebook. He...

I would avoid this place if possible, the room we got was unacceptable for the price. I went by the reviews and thought okay, I'll spend a little more, after all it was just gonna be for a night. Worst mistake, the "blanket" was just two sheets, the couch was held together by some kind of tape, the property needed to make renovations per the city. The notice was posted on the door entering the place but we were no...

I want to thank the employees at this location for going above and beyond to ensure we were taking care of and like the rest of Colorado these people obviously did care about their customers. We desperately needed a break from Denver and this place did that. I feel like we've gone back in time it's really quiet around here the guest I want a dog lovers were even pleasant and well-mannered. Dogs released and own...
